This is the number 25 on the 25 Classic Series models.

This 1/8 scale model car is made out of various materials making a total of 1594 pieces, out of which 515 pieces of high resistance plastic, 866 pieces of brass and 213 pieces of other materials including steel, iron, copper, rubber, etc…

This is the exact replica of the Mercedes-Benz 540K “Rumble Seat”. In October 1936 Mercedes Benz at the Paris Automobile Show for the first time introduced in sports car series 540 (K= Compressor). Chassis and engine are very similar to the 500K model. The displacement of the 8-cylinder engine was increased to 5400 ccm, which amounted to an extra 20 HP. In those days the big car manufactures fulfilled practically all special requests of their customers. Therefore a great number of body styles were produced, some by Mercedes Benz, some by special Body Shops. Altogether 51 “Roadster” 540K were built. Only a few are still existing today and are in great demand by today’s classic car collectors.
